Project Overview
New Releases Now (NRN), a leading music discovery platform with 11+ million visitors, needed a complete brand and website overhaul to modernise its user experience, improve performance, and increase ad revenue. The existing site was outdated, slow, and difficult to manage, threatening both user engagement and search rankings.
My Contributions
I led creative direction, branding, UX design, full-stack web development, and performance optimisation, ensuring a high-speed, visually engaging, and scalable platform.
✔ Creative Direction & Branding – Defined NRN’s new visual identity, overseeing the logo design, colour scheme, and typography to align with its vintage record store aesthetic.
✔ UX & UI Design – Led the redesign of site navigation, music discovery features, and mobile experience, making NRN more intuitive and visually engaging.
✔ Full-Stack Development – Developed the site in Craft CMS, optimising content management and long-term scalability.
✔ Mobile Optimisation – Redesigned the mobile experience to function like an app, with intuitive touch gestures and simplified navigation.
✔ Google Page Speed Optimisation – Implemented advanced performance techniques, caching, and code optimisations to achieve a near-perfect PageSpeed score and ensure smooth performance.
